About Anua

Anua is a South Korean skincare brand launched in 2019 by The Founders, a Seoul brand-building company led by co-CEOs Lee Sunhyung and Lee Changjoo. The Founders grew out of a Seoul National University start-up club in 2017 and also runs pet-care and hair-care brands, but Anua is the label that took it global.

The brand's philosophy is to select effective naturally derived and dermatological ingredients and match them to specific skin concerns. Its signature is heartleaf, known in Korea as eoseongcho, a herb prized for its soothing feel. The Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner, Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil and Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad became its bestsellers, and a 17-second cleansing-oil video racked up tens of millions of YouTube views.

Anua went to Japan first, listing on Qoo10 Japan in the year it launched, entered the US in 2022 and arrived on Amazon in Australia in 2025. The range has since grown into rice, niacinamide with tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, retinol and PDRN formulas, and in 2026 the brand introduced Barrier Reboot, its first moisturiser collection co-developed with dermatologists.
