Goodal is part of CLIO Cosmetics, the Korean beauty company best known for its CLIO makeup brand. While CLIO focuses on colour, Goodal is its natural skincare line, drawing on Korean ingredients and simple, effective routines.

The brand's defining moment came in February 2018 with the launch of the Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum. It uses extract from unripe green tangerines from Jeju Island, harvested before they mature, together with vitamin C derivatives to help brighten and even out the look of skin tone. CLIO's company history records strong sales in the serum's first year.

The line has since grown into a full Vita C routine with toner pads, cream, eye gel patches and gift sets. Goodal has also added other ingredient lines, such as the Houttuynia Cordata calming range, which includes a lightweight sun cream.
