SOME BY MI was founded in 2016 and is operated by the Korean company Perenne Bell. The name is short for 'Something by a Miracle', reflecting the brand's goal of making targeted skincare that delivers visible results at an accessible price.

Its breakthrough came in 2018 with the AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner. The toner combines three types of gentle exfoliating acids with tea tree, helping clear away dead skin cells and excess oil for skin that looks smoother and clearer over time. It became a viral favourite for blemish-prone skin and turned SOME BY MI into one of the best-known K-beauty brands abroad.

Since then the brand has grown into wider lines, including the Miracle range of serums, creams and cleansers, a Retinol Intense line with serum and eye cream, Real Care sheet masks, and spot patches. In December 2021 Korean private equity firm JKL Partners acquired Perenne Bell.

For shoppers, start slowly with the Miracle Toner, using it once a day and building up as your skin adjusts. Keep retinol for evenings, avoid layering it with strong acids on the same night, and wear sunscreen every morning.
