Benton

Benton was founded in 2011 by brothers JangWon Lee and ChaeWon Lee in Korea. The brand name was inspired by The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the story of a man who ages backwards, reflecting the brothers' goal of creating skincare that helps skin look healthy and youthful for longer.

Its first product, the Snail Bee High Content Essence, launched on 8 August 2011. It combined snail secretion filtrate with bee venom and quickly found fans online, setting the tone for a brand built on straightforward, ingredient-focused formulas rather than flashy marketing.

Benton's philosophy is honesty and gentleness. The brand leaves out added fragrance and ingredients it considers harmful or controversial, and it builds its lines around naturally derived ingredients.
