Nature Republic

Nature Republic is a South Korean natural-cosmetics brand founded in March 2009 by Jung Woon-ho, who opened the brand's first flagship store in Seoul's busy Myeong-dong shopping district that same month. The brand quickly became a familiar sight on Korean high streets, built around the idea of bringing nature's ingredients into everyday skincare.

Its breakout product was the Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel, launched in July 2009 as a summer limited edition. Made with 92% aloe extract, the multi-use gel became a permanent bestseller, used on face, body and hair for a cooling, hydrating feel, and Korean press reported tens of millions of units sold within five years.

Beyond the aloe gel, Nature Republic built a wide range of ingredient-led skincare, from the Real Nature sheet masks, each featuring a single hero ingredient such as royal jelly, rose, chamomile or avocado, to cleansers, toners and creams.
